BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Firm is governed by a Board of Directors, which is currently comprised of Chip Babst, Dean Calland, Frank Clements, Don Bluedorn, Chris Farmakis, Marcia Grimes, Mark Shepard, Ted Wesolowski and Denny Yates.  Chip Babst is the Chairman of the Board of Directors and also serves as the Firm’s Managing Shareholder.   

PRACTICE GROUPS

The Firm is organized for administrative purposes into four major practice groups: Business Services, Environment and Energy, Litigation and Public Sector and one multi-disciplinary group, Natural Resources.  The Chairperson of each of the five groups reports directly to the Board of Directors.

FIRM COMMITTEES

Many of the attorneys at Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. serve on one of the following committees:

• Associates (addresses the needs and concerns of associate attorneys at the Firm)
• Associates Review (oversees the Firm’s extensive annual associate performance review process)
• Diversity (plans activities to raise awareness among employees and works to attract minority and women lawyers)
• Professional Development (coordinates the professional development opportunities at the Firm, including continuing legal education and the Firm’s Associate Mentor Program)
• Recruiting (responsible for associate recruiting as well as coordinating the Firm’s Summer Associate Program)
• Strategic Planning (coordinates the development and implementation of the Firm’s strategic plan, which is updated every three years)
• Technology (oversees the evaluation, implementation and use of technology)
