Heather Heidelbaugh is a shareholder in the Litigation Services Group of Babst, Calland, Clements and Zomnir, P.C. Her practice primarily focuses on complex litigation, products liability, intellectual property and election law.
Background
Ms. Heidelbaugh received her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she also earned her J.D. She was a member of the Order of Barristers, the winner of the law school’s National Moot Court competition, a member and finalist of the Regional Moot Court Team and elected Best Oral Advocate.
Memberships and Affiliations
Ms. Heidelbaugh is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Missouri and Illinois. She is an active member of many community and legal organizations. Ms. Heidelbaugh received Allegheny County’s first Pro Bono award for starting a legal clinic for the homeless. She is past chair of the Civil Litigation Section of the Allegheny County Bar Association, editor of the Civil Litigation Newsletter, a past president of its Young Lawyers Section and an Allegheny County Bar Foundation Fellow. In the Pennsylvania Bar Association, she is on the Board of the Civil Litigation Section. Ms. Heidelbaugh is a member of the American Bar Association, and its Products Liability and Intellectual Property Committees. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Community Loan Fund of Southwestern Pennsylvania, serves on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Civil Rules Committee, is a member of the Pennsylvania Society and is a board member of the Allegheny Institute. Ms. Heidelbaugh is vice president of Member Services of the National Republican Lawyer’s Association. She was elected to the Academy of Trial Lawyers an invitation only, select group of trial lawyers. Ms. Heidelbaugh has also been named as a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society that includes for Fellowship less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. She has also been consistently recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s best lawyers, according to an annual survey published in Philadelphia magazine. In April 2008, the same survey acknowledged Ms. Heidelbaugh for her business litigation practice, listing her in a special corporate counsel edition.
